Biloxi City Councilman Robert Deming arrested in connection to drug trafficking case

Biloxi City Councilman Robert Deming was arrested on federal charges connected to a drug trafficking case.

Deming made his initial court appearance earlier today after being taken into custody yesterday on a DEA warrant.

Our media partner, the Sun Herald reports that federal officials have filed paperwork to seize nearly 1.8 million cash seized during a raid on Deming’s home back in January.

As we reported at the time of that January raid, DEA officials said the purpose was to gather evidence that may support multiple complaints made on a product sold at Deming’s businesses.

Deming owns six of those stores across Mississippi and North Carolina.
