Biloxi City Council approves new police chief
BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- The Biloxi City Council has confirmed Chris De Back as the city’s new police chief.
The vote comes after Mayor FoFo Gilich recently picked De Back as his nominee for the role, following John Miller’s retirement.
That vote happened during Tuesday’s city council regular meeting at Biloxi City Hall.
De Back served as assistant chief since 2021 under Chief Miller and has served the department in a wide variety of other rules during his time on the force, including in the investigations and public affairs division.
