Biloxi Cemetery Tours
Cemetery Tours may sound like a spooky time, but it is actually an opportunity to learn about the past and how far the City of Biloxi has come.
This is the 13th annual Cemetery Tours in Biloxi. It’s always a favorite among Coast residents.
During the tours at the Old Biloxi Cemetery, graveside actors will be telling stories and sharing Biloxi’s past. This year’s theme is ‘Biloxi’s Colorful Past.’ Biloxi Historical Administrator Bill Raymond said, “We are going to be talking about the illegal alcohol sales during prohibition days, gambling before it became legal. Not only are we doing graveside portrayals this year, we are also doing storytellers. So, we are really excited about this tour and what people are going to learn this year.”
The tours will be on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. It is free to the public, but they will be taking donations to help fund restorations to the cemetery.
