Biloxi C.A.O Position up in the Air
The position for Biloxi’s chief administrative officer is still up in the air.
The Biloxi City Council was set to vote on the issue today, but it was tabled. Mayor Gilich has been steadfast in his nomination of Ward 5 Councilman Paul Tisdale to be the new C.A.O., but not all of the council members are on the same about whether or not Tisdale should move into that position.
Ward 2 Councilman Felix Gines says he doesn’t think now is a good time for the vote to happen. “Not at this time, it’s probably not a good thing now. I believe that we need to go ahead and open things up a little bit more. Other council members have concerns and I believe that if we do something, especially with a position like that, that we all need to be unanimous on the decision.”
No official word yet on when the decision will be made. Mayor Gilich is continuing to work out the details of the position.
