Biloxi Bicycle Works holds ‘Beat the Heat’ group ride every Wednesday in July

At Biloxi Bicycle Works on Howard Avenue, bikers gathered this morning to beat the scorching South Mississippi heat.

News 25 caught up with the group as they set out on their 6:30 a.m. ride. These early birds meet every Wednesday in July to enjoy each other’s company and the cool morning breeze before the sun fully rises.

The owner of Biloxi Bicycle Works warmly welcomes anyone to join them for the ride. To be a part of the fun, all you need to do is show up to the shop at Howard Avenue with your bike and helmet. Biloxi Bicycle Works Owner Bart Luther said, “On some of our Friday fun rides, we get over 100. So, this is a pretty small group, but for a Wednesday morning at 6:30. I think this is a pretty good-sized group.”
