Biloxi Bay Chamber Holds Morning Call Program at Keesler
Speakers from the base and Keesler Federal Credit Union shared the history of Keesler and its impact on the Gulf Coast. Community support allowed Keesler to successfully train forces for WWII, the Cold War, and the Vietnam War. Keesler then welcomed P.O.W.s coming home from Vietnam, helping them reintegrate into society. Now, Keesler boasts cutting edge technology and advanced training for their airmen and women.
Lt. Mullen of Keesler Air Force Base says, “Today, we support all four services, have an active airfield supporting a variety of operational and training flying missions, and a fully functional Air Force medical facility. In addition, Keesler has the capability to deploy airmen throughout the world to support battlefield requirements and missions.”
Wednesday, business and city leaders also networked with Keesler personnel to further develop the relationship with the Air Force base and the Coast.
