Biloxi barbershop could potentially be city’s newest landmark

Tyrone’s Barber and Beauty Shop has been providing hair services in Biloxi for several decades, and could now potentially be Biloxi’s latest city landmark.

On Tuesday’s Biloxi City Council meeting, a first reading was held which presented the motion to mark Tyrone’s Barber and Beauty Shop as a city landmark. An official vote on the matter will be held at the city council’s next meeting on November 5th.

WXXV News 25’s Marco Bitonel had the opportunity to interview Biloxi Councilman, Felix Gines, who expressed why he believes Tyrone’s Barber and Beauty Shop should be deemed an essential part of Biloxi history.
