Biloxi alum Colt Keith, Shuckers duo named to MLB Futures Game roster

Biloxi alum Colt Keith getting the chance to show out on the big stage, having been named to the American League roster for the MLB Futures game.

Through 59 games at the Double-A level this season, Keith is on an absolute tear at the plate, hitting .325 with 18 doubles, 14 home runs, and 50 RBI.

The former Indian was named Eastern League player of the month for May and was drafted by the Tigers in the fifth round of the 2020 draft.

On the National League roster, a pair of Biloxi shuckers getting the call as well, top-ranked prospect Jackson Chourio and fifth-ranked prospect of the Milwaukee Brewers Jeferson Quero.

Both players have 10 home runs through the first half of the season and Chourio has 21 stolen bases to his name as well.

The game is set for July 8th at Seattle’s T-Mobile Park.
