Bill to Speed up NCAA Introduced

One Mississippi lawmaker has the NCAA in his crosshairs with a newly presented House bill.
House Bill 1040 or the National Collegiate Athletic Association Fairness in F.A.C.T Investigations Act of 2017 was introduced by Representative Trey Lamar of Senatobia.
The bill would give the NCAA one year to hold a hearing and hand out punishments. If those punishments are not handed out, the NCAA would be subject to a fine of $10,000 a day until the punishment is handed down.
It is worth noting, Lamar is a former Ole Miss running back. The NCAA filed formal allegations against the Rebels in 2016.
