Bill eliminating income tax heads to Governor Reeves desk
JACKSON, Miss. (WXXV)-Governor Tate Reeves says he will sign a historic bill coming across his desk.
House Bill 1 eliminates the income tax and also offers tax reform in the state.
Governor Reeves is expected to sign the bill later Friday. This comes after the Mississippi House tabled a motion to reconsider House Bill 1.
When the bill is signed, the legislature takes affect after July 1st, 2025.
