Bill aiming to fund health, education training advances to Senate

JACKSON, Miss. (WXXV)- A bill aimed at providing funding for health, education, and jobs throughout the state has advanced.

The FY2026 Appropriations Bill has advanced to the Senate after Senator Cindy Hyde Smith voted to approve this bill.

This piece of legislation aims to fund the advancement of maternal health, education and job training in the state of Mississippi.

The bill was approved by a 26 to 3 vote and will now head to the Senate.
