Bike the Beach Pulls into Ocean Springs

“Bike the Beach” is still in full throttle as bikers invaded Ocean Springs Sunday afternoon.
It couldn’t rain on this parade of motorcyclists who are cruising around town this weekend for the Coast’s very first “Bike the Beach.” The four day festival is much like “Cruisin’ the Coast,” but with motorcycles instead of cars.
Friday started the party in Gulfport and Saturday’s ride was to Biloxi’s MGM Park to see a well-known biker from “American Chopper.”
Sunday afternoon, bike clubs hit Ocean Springs for a pub crawl. Bikers from Texas to Alabama rode into the Coast this weekend. Biker Scott Sanders said, “Friday night it was fun. The weather wasn’t great, but still people are coming out. Good attitudes and yesterday at the stadium, Paul Teutul was there, Paulie Jr., which was neat. He has star quality so that brought people in. There were probably 350 to 400 bikes there.”
“Bike the Beach” benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Motorcyclists will pull into the Point Cadet Marina in Biloxi today for a chance to meet reality star Tim Smith from “Moon Shiners.”
