Bienville Charity Classic at the Preserve Golf Course
Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists Education and Research Foundation hosting their inaugural Bienville Charity Classic benefiting the Mississippi Gulf Coast Youth Coalition.
Over 100 community leaders from several industries, including healthcare, teed off today in Vancleave. The goal was to raise over $20,000 with all the proceeds from the tournament going directly to the coalition and ultimately back into Jackson, Harrison, and Hancock counties through their innovative grass roots efforts and outreach programs. Bienville Orthopaedic Director of Marketing Erica Schrock said, “Our practice spans the entire Gulf Coast and we just looked for an opportunity to kind of give back to the community and make a difference from that stand point.”
MS Gulf Coast Youth Health Coalition Executive Director Kelsey Keel said, “We came out here today to kind of show a little bit of what we are about. We brought some healthy snacks, infused water. We get to talk to the golfers throughout the day, kind of tell them our healthy messaging, encourage children and families how to be healthier.”
Many gifts were donated and raffled off. Bienville Orthopaedic is looking to make this an annual event.
