Betsy Ann Riverboat sets sail in Biloxi after hiatus

The Betsy Ann Riverboat set sail today for the first time in over six months.

The riverboat had around $100,000 worth of damage due to Hurricane Zeta. The major storm bent the bow and stern and also blew out about six windows surrounding the captain’s chair.

The carpet also had to be replaced due to the moisture setting in.

Between COVID and the hurricane, the riverboat lost somewhere around $350,000.

But now, the boat is fixed and ready to set sail again. Michael White, co-owner of the Betsy Ann Riverboat, tells News 25 things are looking up for the business. “Just from looking at the online bookings right now and the phone calls we are receiving right now. It looks like people are very anxious to get back out and do things. Water activities being a priority seems to be the top things they are looking for. Our hibachi dinner cruises are selling like wild fire right now.”
