Benefit for injured Harrison County deputies
If you are looking for some good food and a way to give back to Harrison County’s finest then stop by Newk’s Eatery on Highway 49 tomorrow night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A portion of the sales will benefit two Harrison County deputies who were injured in the line of duty. On May 5th, Deputy Brian Kelly and Deputy Krystal Bland were involved in a serious automobile accident while on patrol. Both officers sustained injuries to varying degrees.
Deputy Kelly has a very long road to recovery ahead of him. Deputy Bland’s injuries were not as severe, but Captain Coley Judy tells News 25 both officers are dedicated to their jobs and their families and each of them are very deserving of the donations they hope to receive.
If you want to help the deputies, but cannot make it out to Newk’s you can send a check made out to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department.
