Benefit for Waveland Fire Department Assistant Chief

HANCOCK COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- In Hancock County, a benefit is happening for Assistant Fire Chief Casey Piazza.

Chief Piazza was diagnosed with a form of brain cancer in October 2025.

He devoted his life to serving the county and country, serving as a deputy with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office as well as assistant fire chief with the Waveland Fire Department.

The benefit is scheduled for April 11th at the St. Clare Catholic Church.

At this time, organizers are looking for food trucks, vendors, bands, or anyone that would like to take part.
