Belly Dancing Ladies Night event
A belly dancing class aims to unite and empower women on the Gulf Coast.
Ladies on the lookout for the ultimate addition to their night out need look no further.
The Gulf Coast School of Performing Arts will play host to a one-of-a-kind event, offering cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and an immersive lesson in traditional Raqs Sharqi, better known as belly dancing.
Participants will master the basics of posture, hip shimmies, culminating in a short, sassy routine.
The class instructor, Amy Bowman, is set to lead a spirited community of women in a celebration of self-expression and unity. “I’ve never felt more confident than when I’m belly dancing with my friends. It’s just such a unique community of women where we encourage each other and have a good time.”
The ‘On the Raqs’ belly dance ladies night is Friday, July 28th from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. To register visit the Facebook page or website of Niall O’Leary School of Irish Dance.
