Being prepared during hurricane season

Harrison County Emergency Management Director Matt Stratton is in the studio to talk about hurricane preparedness.

August and September are typically our busiest months. He encourages the public to keep inportant documents in safe and easy to locate areas. Also, having a three day supply for food and water is essential as well.

Stratton said each household need its own emegency and evacuation plans to make sure safety a top prority. For more resources on how to create those plans for your home and business, you can check out the Small Business Administration’s website.
