Beer and Bacon Fest in Gulfport on Saturday
Mississippi Heroes once again presents its Beer and Bacon Festival, a marriage of two American favorites.
Restaurants and breweries will set up shop inside the Warehouse in Gulfport Saturday night, the same place Terror on the Coast is held in October. Doors open at 7 p.m.
Sales from the event benefit the nonprofit which helps support non-professional caregivers.
There will be a silent auction, plenty of samples, and a people’s choice for best brew, best bacon, and best chocolate dish. Mississippi Heroes President Eric Alvarez said, “So what we get, we get about 30 breweries and home breweries, and about 20 restaurants in here, and they get to sample the new beers, local beers, some of the beers from local distributors like F.E.B.”
Puff Belly’s Brewery Owner David Macon said, “It’s for a great cause. Katherine Sutton, who is the director of the Heroes, does a fantastic job, supports families and supports people who support people who can’t take care of themselves. So yeah, that’s the main reason we’re doing this.”
Tickets start at $50 per person and $75 will get you a VIP pass.
