Beauvoir hosts Fall Muster 2021

Families can experience live American history through the weekend as Beauvoir’s Jefferson Davis Home in Biloxi hosts the Fall Muster Civil War re-enactment.

The home of the Confederate States president has long been the site of these reenactments as a traditional way of keeping the memory of these battles alive.

The camp around back of the Beauvoir will open to the public at 9 a.m. Canon and musket fire will echo along Highway 90 starting at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Historically accurate music and food will also be present so families might get a taste of the old days. Kitsaa Stevens with Beauvoir Development and Programs said, “It’s a hobby. Some folks like to fish, scuba dive, these folks are reenactors, or living historians. They are very, very much in tune with their history and heritage. If you stopped any one of them, they could give you their lineage, from their ancestors who fought in the Civil War, all the way back to England.”

Tickets for adults start at $12.50 for adults with a discount for veterans.
