Beautify the Meek collecting donations for the ‘Love Project’

Beautify the Meek is now collecting items for domestic violence survivors for Valentine’s Day.

The local nonprofit will be giving out gift baskets filled with spa items and other goodies to survivors and their families.

On average, it takes between seven to 12 times for a survivor to leave their abuser for good.

Beautify the Meek President Katrina Currie, a survivor herself, hopes this drive helps those leaving their abusers feel loved and content in their decision to leave. “We want to show them and rally around them that they have the support that they need. We’re supporting that emotional need, that they’re loved, they’re cared for and show support around them and their children since they have left their abuser.”

Check out Beautify the Meek’s Facebook page for a list of donations and information on where you can drop off items.
