Home Instead hosting their 18th annual "Be a Santa to a Senior program"
While some seniors will be able to spend the holidays with their families– others may not.
So Home Instead of ocean springs is hosting their 18th annual “Be a Santa to a Senior program” promising another season of holiday cheer.
“Be a Santa to a Senior” is a program that supports older adults who may be overlooked, isolated or alone during the holiday season.
The local program gives back to older adults and reminds them they are cherished by our community.
The gifts collected– which are often necessities items such as toiletries, clothing and blankets– make a big impact and help area seniors combat the holiday blues.
Christopher Thompson, Home care consultant at Home Instead says, “all the seniors on the be a Santa to a senior trees in all the local CVS this year provided by Home Instead are names of seniors who come from hospitals, home health, hospice in the local areas these are all seniors who are less fortunate and wouldn’t be celebrated otherwise so grab a name off the tree and go by items for those seniors you are giving them a lot of hope and joy this holiday season”
“Be a Santa to a Senior” trees can be found at 6 CVS locations across the coast. The program will run up until December 8th. The program has helped provide more than 2 million gifts to over 750,000 seniors across America
