BBQ Under the Oaks Set for Saturday at Centennial Plaza

After 26 years of being at the same venue, one local event has moved to a new spot. The 27th Annual BBQ Under the Oaks will be held for the first time at Centennial Plaza in Gulfport this year. The event was previously held at a private residence in Pass Christian. Chairman of the event, Melanie Clark, says you can expect plenty of entertainment and great food this year.

Clark says, "We’ve got 30 cooking teams, children’s areas, we’ve got corn hole tournaments, a silent auction prize tent, raffles going on all through the event tomorrow. There will be teams cooking out all night tonight and we will be ready to go at 11 tomorrow morning."

Gates open at 11 a.m. and admission is $45.
