Bayou View Middle School students receive STEM grant

Sparklight has awarded one Coast school with a STEM grant.

The lucky recipient is Bayou View Middle School in Gulfport.

The grant is part of Sparklight’s Dream Bigger social media campaign. This campaign supports STEM education opportunities for all students.

A check of $2,500 was presented, the funding will be used to buy an innovation kit.

That kit will include motors, gears, sensors, and other hands-on engineering tools to help students learn.
