Bay Students Return to School After Bomb Threat
A note was found in the bathroom of Bay Middle School, and as a precaution, school officials evacuated Bay Middle School, North Bay Elementary, and North Bay High School, all located on Pine Road.
A St. Tammany Parish bomb sniffing dog was brought in to search the area. Students returned to class after the schools were deemed safe. Thursday, News 25 spoke with parents in the Bay St. Louis School District about the issue. Some are worried about the safety of their children after the bomb threat, but others feel the school district has everything under control.
Lindy Delcuze, a parent, says, “I feel ok. I feel like they handled it well and I feel like things went well and I feel ok with everything picking my son up today."
There was also a bomb threat Tuesday at Hancock High School. Students were evacuated, but officials found no evidence of a bomb and students returned to class shortly thereafter.
