Bay St. Louis Police asking prom party attendees to come forward
The Bay St. Louis Police Department is asking for the assistance of anyone who attended the “prom after party” in Bay St. Louis on Saturday night to come forward.
Two people were killed and four others injured when a gunman opened fire at the party just after midnight. The suspect, 19-year-old Cameron Brand, is in custody.
Police say it is crucial to the investigation and prosecution that Bay St. Louis Criminal Investigators make contact with as many attendees as possible, even if they believe they didn’t witness anything pertinent to the investigation.
“We appreciate our community’s assistance as we work tirelessly to thoroughly investigate and bring justice to those affected,” police said in a post to their social media.
