Bay St. Louis PD hosted Coffee with a Cop event

It was a beautiful day for coffee and conversations in Bay St. Louis.

The Bay St. Louis Police Department put on an event called ‘Coffee with a Cop.’ This event is for the citizens of Bay St. Louis to meet members of law enforcement as well as build connections with them.

This is way for people to meet police officers and introduce themselves in order to see a friendly face and know who is helping you in a time of need.

The coffee and donuts were located in front of Fade One Barbershop. Fade One Barbershop Owner Brenda Pickens said, “I hosted this event to promote community communication and relationships with our local police department. Here in Bay St. Louis, recently we got a new police chief and there has been come changes in the department…some promotions and some new ideas by this police chief.”

Police Chief Toby Schwartz said, “It’s a community event. A great way to get out and meet with our officers, the fine officers of Bay St. Louis Police Department, but also to engage with the community because it goes hand in hand, your community with your police force.”

Be on the lookout for more community outreach programs put on by the Bay St. Louis Police Department.
