Bay St. Louis murder suspect arrested

On September 27, 2018 at approximately 11:11 p.m. the Bay St. Louis Police Department was notified that Xavier Lamer Simmons was taken into custody by the US Marshal Service in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana.

Simmons was wanted for the murder, armed robbery and aggravated assault that occurred on June 6, 2018 at Martin Luther King Jr. Park, located on the 500 block of Washington Street in Bay St. Louis. Simmons is awaiting extradition to Mississippi.
