A Bay St. Louis man is in jail, charged with three counts of commercial burglary and fleeing from law enforcement.
Hancock County Sheriff Ricky Adam said 23-year-old Shane Fontana was arrested at his Bay St. Louis home on Tuesday. He was taken to Hancock County jail. He is held on no bond on the felony warrants and a $50,000 bond on the felony fleeing.
Deputies on Monday saw Fontana driving his vehicle on Highway 90 near Lower Bay Road. Aware that Fontana had felony warrants out on him, they tried to stop him and he fled. Deputies pursued him through Hancock County, Waveland and Bay St. Louis before ending the chase.
The next day, Fontana was arrested without incident.
Adam said Criminal Investigations, warrants deputies, K-9 handlers and patrol worked together to take Fontana into custody.
