Bay St. Louis man charged in shooting death in Bayside Park

A Bay St. Louis man is in jail, charged with murder in the shooting death of another man on Thursday evening.

Hancock County Sheriff Ricky Adam said 38-year-old Ronald Zoerner is charged with murder. He was taken to Hancock County jail and bond was set at $1 million.

Deputies responded to the 6000 block of East Grenada Street in Bayside Park in reference to a shooting about 9 p.m. Thursday.

They found a man suffering from a single gunshot wound. Hancock County Coroner Jeff Hair said 47-year-old Carlos Singleton was pronounced dead at the scene.

Zoerner also was at the residence and he was arrested and charged.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing. No other information is available.
