Bay St. Louis lineman in critical condition after suffering electrical shock working in New Orleans
A lineman from Bay St. Louis is in critical condition after suffering an electric shock in a bucket truck on Wednesday while on the job.
Twenty-eight year-old Cayce Seal is currently being hospitalized in New Orleans after receiving severe injuries.
His girlfriend states that she received a call from the company telling her that Seal had been in an accident.
Reportedly Seal had endured a nearly fatal electrical shock. His crew noticed right away and worked quickly to get him out of his bucket, immediately starting CPR.
Cayce’s heart stopped beating, but his heartbeat was recovered on the way to University Hospital in New Orleans. He is currently in critical, but stable condition and is being kept sedated.
He also served as a firefighter at the Bayside Fire Department for a few years.
News 25 received a statement from Entergy Electrical Company that reads: “We are aware of this unfortunate circumstance and are investigating to make sure our workers and facilities are safe. The safety of our employees and the public is a core value and our thoughts and concerns are with our team member and his family at this time.”
