Bay St. Louis Freedom of Information request denied

The City of Bay St. Louis responded today after News 25 made a Freedom of Information Request to view the body cam footage of former chief of police Darren Freeman who recently resigned after reports were released following an incident in May 2017.
The response stated that: “when in the possession of a law enforcement agency, investigative reports shall be exempt from the provisions of this chapter; however, a law enforcement agency, in its discretion, may choose to make public all or any part of any investigative report.”
They then informed News 25 that they would not fulfill the request at this time.
