Bay St. Louis daycare owner arrested for child neglect

A Bay St. Louis woman is now behind bars for child neglect that occurred at an in-home daycare on Old Spanish Trail.

According to Police Chief Gary Ponthieux, Connie Cuevas was arrested for child neglect following an investigation by the Bay St. Louis Police Department, Child Protective Services, and the Children’s Safe Medical Team that determined the child suffered injuries from being struck by Cuevas.

She’s being charged with three counts of child neglect and is held on a $30,000 bond.
