Bay St. Louis businesses celebrating mom with specials throughout the weekend

Mother’s Day is this Sunday, but if you still need to get something to get or are trying to find plans for mom, News 25’s Jazell Ladner has you covered with events and specials that are happening this weekend.

Mother’s Day is a time to celebrate mom and make her happy, but what makes her happy? Bay St. Louis businesses are offering a variety of specials from delicious treats to unique shopping experiences throughout the weekend.

Yuki Northington, owner of the Social Chair, is well known for carrying Helen Marie Jewelry in the store. Due to the high demand of bracelets, Northington wanted to make it extra special for moms on Saturday. “It’s just a nice little every day bracelet. A lot of people are getting mother-daughter bracelets, too. Like the mom will get them and the daughters will get one with their little crystals. They will be here 1 to 6 to custom make them. We wrap for free so you’re going to look like a champ on Mother’s Day.”

The gifts don’t stop at the Social Chair. Mom will get a lot more deals from other shops located downtown. Vendor Brenda Christie said, “We’ve got 20 vendors here at Shops of Century Hall. We got rosary giveaways for mom. We got gift baskets, raffle tickets, live music on the porch. We got favors for mom and another giveaway from Katie’s Jewelry, all with a purchase. Everybody is just eager to participate and show mom a good time.”

Parrot Head Bar and Grill will be making a special drink for mom called ‘The Bay Spritz’ and Murky Waters will be serving $5 mamaritas, along with $4 momosas. Murky Waters Bartender Kayla Burton said, “They are very refreshing. We got strawberries in the margaritas. Everybody deserves a little bit of a break, especially our moms here.”
