Bay Holds 3rd Annual Big Easy in the Bay for Cruisin’

Thursday night in Bay St. Louis, the sounds of jazz, blues, and car engines were in the air for Cruisin’ the Coast. It was the third annual Big Easy in the Bay Festival.

There’s no better way to relax after a hard day of Cruisin’ than by throwing street party with live music. The Big Easy in the Bay is a family event down at the old train depot. It’s for those who just want to take it easy. George Williams, a festival attendee, says, “We come out just to enjoy the band and look at the beautiful cars, man. I mean, it’s just all about family, having a good time.”

Dale Johnson, another festival goer, says, “We always come, every time they have it, we come.”

And you can’t have a good time without good food. Phil Williams of Williams Pit BBQ, says, “Ribs, pork, chicken, sausage, hamburgers, time, time, nothing but time.”

After you get your fill of music and food, you may not know what to do next, so Gypsy is there to guide your way. Gypsy says, “Tarot reading is a way of divining your future by means of flipping over cards and you have to be strong within yourself and that if you stay true to who you are, you’re gonna’ make it all the way through. Just don’t turn your back on success.”

Everyone agrees, if you want a good time, go to the Bay. Odell Davis, another festival goer, says, “Got that small town atmosphere, it’s the best spot, Bay St. Louis, it’s the best spot.”
