Baseball Blue Devils head down to Trustmark Park as they play for the Class 6A State Championship!
Before they even step foot on the turf at Trustmark Park, this group of Pearl River Central ball players have already made history. After their South State series, this Blue Devil program now holds the school record for most wins in a season, and Blake Gill also broke the single single RBI record with 46 runs. Even more impressive than that, that’s just two of the seven school records they’ve broken this year which includes stolen bases, triples, hits, wins by pitchers and district sweeps. Head Coach Buddy Turnage believes they’ve accomplished all of these things and have made it this far because of their love for one another.
This brotherhood will compete for the Class 6A State Championship title at 1pm Tuesday, 1pm Wednesday and 10am Thursday if a game three is needed. Hear from three of their leaders on their excitement for these games in the video above.
These Blue Devils want your support in Pearl, and they deserve everyone of you there! WXXV will have highlights all week long!
