Barbecue fundraiser for local family in need
A local family is in need of help after discovering their newborn baby had a congenital heart defect requiring urgent surgery.
Cooper Brooks was born after much effort on June 19th. He needed a little extra love in the NICU before being discharged at six days old. After being home for a little more than a week, Cooper started having trouble breathing and mom and dad, Jessie and Brad, later found out about the heart defect.
If you’d like to help this family with medical bills for little Cooper head on over to Allen Hyundai this Saturday from 11 to 2 p.m. for a fundraiser in honor of the family. $10 will get you a barbecue sandwich, a bag of chips, and a drink with all proceeds going towards Cooper’s medical expenses.
