Baltimore Bans Travel to MS and NC

Baltimore joins the list of cities and states banning travel to Mississippi.
The city’s mayor has suspended all city-sponsored travel to North Carolina and Mississippi due to newly enacted laws. The mayor made the announcement to city officials saying she hopes the city’s efforts combined with those of other governments and companies will push North Carolina and Mississippi to change.
House Bill 1523 allows businesses in Mississippi to refuse service to the LGBT community based on religious beliefs.
House Bill 2 in North Carolina requires transgender people to use bathrooms based on their biological sex.
