Bacot McCarty gets Jolly in Biloxi
This evening at the IP Casino Resort and Spa, Bacot McCarty celebrated yet another year of their Jolly fundraiser.
The Jolly is the foundation’s largest fundraiser and each year the event raises hundreds of thousands of dollars to go towards funding art and education programs for youth across South Mississippi. This year the theme is “Austin Powers” and the event is celebrating its 13th year.
Bacot McCarty Foundation Executive Director Todd Trenchard tells News 25 the Jolly is bigger and better than ever. “Generally we’re looking to raise about half a million dollars on this weekend. This will be a record setting year. We’re about 30,000 ahead of where we were last year going into this auction. We’ve got a huge raffle that we’re going to conduct tonight. That will probably raise another $25,000 that we’ve never done before so we’re expecting the event of the season like it always is and expecting over 1,000 people to show up here at the IP.”
The Jolly continues tomorrow with a golf tournament at Shell Landing in Jackson County.
