Bacot McCarty Foundation Kicks Off Fundraising Season

The Gulf Coast can look forward to seeing $200,000 going toward local education and cultural programs.

Monday night, the IP Casino Resort and Spa presented a $200,000 check to the Bacot McCarty foundation as they kicked off their annual fundraising event. The foundation was named one of the top non-profit organizations in Jackson County by the Chamber of Commerce. Todd Trenchard, Director of the Bacot McCarty Foundation, says Monday night was all about thanking their sponsors and raising money for charities and schools along the Coast.

Trenchard says, “And we’ll also be kicking off the Jolly McCarty Memorial, which is our big golf tournament each year that literally has raised millions and millions of dollars for youth education and cultural programs across south Mississippi.”

The Ocean Springs High School jazz band and Rock U2 entertained the crowd. This event sets the fundraising pace for the rest of the year.
