Bacot McCarty Foundation hosts Jolly Circus Gala

The Bacot McCarty Foundation was back in Pascagoula for their 20th annual Jolly Gala Fundraiser.

This year’s theme was a Jolly Circus filled with popcorn, cotton candy, balloons, and more carnival themed fun.

However, the event is also used as a fundraiser for both the foundation and non-profits across the Coast. The foundation gave out several scholarships to students as well.

The event is put on as a pairing party for the golf tournament this weekend.

Throughout the 20 years, the foundation has been able to raise millions of dollars for communities and organizations across the Coast. Bacot McCarty Foundation Executive Director Todd Trenchard said, “Well it’s almost like a dream for me. You know, having come here to the Home of Grace all those years ago and having a life where you are able to give back into the community. It’s something I would’ve never thought of, but it has certainly been a blessing and you just met so many good people and you can understand why South Mississippi is so special.”

The Jolly Golf Tournament will begin tomorrow at 8 a.m. at the Shell Landing Golf Course in Gautier.
