Backpack giveaway at Big Play Entertainment in Biloxi
Another local nonprofit says students need A-plus tools for A-plus grades.
For the fourth straight year, a Call to Action Media Group partnered with Big Play Entertainment to give away backpacks and supplies to families and students in need.
It’s another way for the nonprofit to engage with the community while setting students up for success.
The backpacks included crayons, notebooks, and folders for elementary school students. Middle and high school kids received pencils, pens and notebooks and folders as well. Commissioner Sugar Stallings said, “You can’t get an A if you don’t have a tool to work. The school supplies that they need, whether it’s the first day of school or the last day of school, they need to get excited about it. This is setting up the foundation for their life. So, that’s what we are doing. We’re preparing our young people to be great leaders.”
