Back to School Bash
From dunk tanks to laser tag, the summer is not over just yet as a back to school bash took place in Gulfport to celebrate the start of the new school year.
The Seabee Base made sure there was plenty of free food and candy to go around for everybody. There was a petting zoo for kids to take selfies and pet animals.
The National Night Out event also took place where children could meet first responders on the base.
Any child of a military member had the chance to come out and relax their minds before school starts. Director of Youth Programs John Hartsell said, “It makes me feel good to see the smile on the kid’s faces and to be able to do something for them. I know they have a tiring year ahead of them going to school. It’s a joy to see how much fun they are having.”
A few lucky kids at the bash had the opportunity to win four free tickets to a water park.
