Back Bay House Fire

Heavy smoke and flames filled Biloxi skies after a house fire on “Kensington Drive” Sunday afternoon. Six fire crews responded to the two story home just before four O-clock P.M yesterday. The fire started on the side of the house, and then traveled up into the attic. Biloxi Fire Chief, Joe Boney, tells News 25 crews responded to the call within minutes, but had a hard time putting out the flame because of the way the house is structured, “We couldn’t get into the attic area where the fire, the fire is moving from the back of the structure to the front of the structure in the attic area we had some pretty heavy fire damage on the second floor in the rear of the house. We had some floor collapse. So we pulled the guys out for their safety.” Thankfully, no one was at home at the time flames erupted. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
