Back Bay cleaned up this morning as part of Renew our Rivers program

Thirty Mississippi Power employees spent the morning cleaning up Back Bay in Biloxi and D’Iberville today.

The clean up effort is part of the company’s ‘Renew our Rivers’ program.

Volunteers removed about three-quarters of a ton of trash, including Styrofoam, tires, pieces of wood, and furniture.

During the Pascagoula River clean up in May, the program surpassed the 400 tons removed mark since its inception in 2005.
