Authorities urge Ocean Springs residents to stay home

Because of the rising water level, the Ocean Springs Police Department is asking that residents stay off the street except for emergency situations.
Street flooding has been reported citywide. Police issued a statement on their Facebook page. It says, “Front Beach, all harbors, and all low-lying areas are expected to remain vulnerable to flooding over the next few days. We do not have specific road updates, as water levels will continue to rise and recede and rise again. Continue to exercise caution around all flooded and flood-prone areas.”
