Suspect in Laurel shooting arrested in Stone County

A man wanted in a shooting at Howard Industries in Laurel this morning has been arrested.

Laurel Police Chief Tommy Cox said the suspect, Keith Hinton, was arrested at a home on Wire Road near Perkinston in Stone County. Mississippi Highway Patrol made the arrest without incident.

Reports of a shooting at the plant came in about 9:30 a.m. A victim was shot in the parking lot, according to news sources.  The plant went into lockdown.
