Author of ‘To Ride a Storm Surge’ Katrina book visits Pass Schools
PASS CHRISTIAN, Miss. (WXXV)- Acclaimed author Lisa Hatfield visited Pass Christian Middle and High School to share her story and insights with students ahead of the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.
The visit offered students a unique opportunity to connect literature, history, and lived experience.
Katrina captures the strength, resilience, and hope of communities impacted by the storm.
Author Lisa Hatfield, who has now written three novels, shared her latest book called ‘To Ride a Storm Surge.’
Students had the opportunity to hear about Lisa’s writing process, the importance of preserving history, and the lessons learned.
