Assault On A Police Officer

A woman is behind bars after assaulting a police officer in Gulfport.

The incident happened Monday afternoon at the Walmart Supercenter on Highway 49.

19 year old “Lamyrica Holder” was found shoplifting.

When approached by a loss prevention officer who attempted to arrest her, holder fled, which led to a brief pursuit inside the store.

After being caught, holder pushed, punched, and scratched the officer.

She was then arrested and brought to the Harrison County Jail.
