Assault on Jackson County deputies

A Moss Point man is behind bars after assaulting three deputies during a divorce court hearing in Chancery Court today.

According to Sheriff Mike Ezell, 28-year-old Joshua Mosely is the brother of the man getting the divorce.

Mosely got into an argument with a woman who was attending the hearing and when a deputy tried to intervene, Mosely assaulted him, knocking the deputy to the ground. The deputy sustained a head injury. Two other deputies were also injured.

Mosely is charged with three counts of simple assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.
